An increasing number of U.S. companies have shifted significant portions of their operations to countries that have lower labor costs, such as China, India, Mexico and countries in Central and Eastern Europe. In an effort to service these companies, many U.S. ABL lenders are aggressively searching for ways to lend to companies located in these countries. This search will likely lead to the identification of the next growth area in the world for ABL.
